Heineken – Draft Keg Commercial

While this commercial may have weirded out more people than convinced people to buy Heineken, it still remains one of my all-time favorite commercials. Check it out below:

I love the the computerized music and robotic, metallic pin-ups, but what I think really makes this commercial is the style and editing of the shots.  In my opinion, Berlin Cameron United (the agency that created the ad) did an excellent job.

Not everyone thinks so though… Ad Age criticizes the commercial, stating the the keg replaces the woman’s reproductive organs and creates the misogynistic ‘perfect woman.’  And although many people responded to their article, criticizing their analysis as hyper-reactive, these same people said that they thought the commercial was just plain stupid.

“Love Me” by Poster Child

It really isn’t an ad, but it’s a piece of art that no doubt get’s it’s message across. Produced in both red and black, the image is both striking and simple. I’m a big fan of typography in general, so I’m very impressed with the text. The heart really makes the piece.
